The brief

“People do not book hotels. They respond to emotions.”From the client brief

Veranda asked for films that make you feel the place before you arrive. Our answer was to show Tamarin the way locals live it, with the hotel as the doorway: surf at sunrise, breakfast at the kiosk, the salt pans, a sega by the fire.

The idea · one film, three acts

IThe AwakeningWax on the board, a fisherman at first light, street art and a kiosk breakfast. The village wakes up.
IIThe PortalA finger on the hotel’s map wall opens the west: Casela, the salt pans, kayaks through the mangroves.
IIIThe ReleaseWok flames, the sun going down on the bay, a toast, and a sega to close the night.

From paper to screen

Drawn first. Then shot.

Every shot was scripted and storyboarded before we picked up a camera. Drag the line to compare the board with the final frame.

On set

Serious about the shot. Easy to be around.

Sunrise call times, waist-deep in the lagoon, a safari truck full of crew. We plan everything so the day can feel light. When the set is relaxed, the talent relaxes, and that is what ends up on screen.

Content for hotels

One shoot. A feed full of stories.

Alongside the film we shot a series of vertical reels, each built around one part of the stay: the west coast, the food, the pool, the spa, the nights out. This is the kind of content we make for hotels and resorts.
